SKY DIVING IN ROTOURA, NEW ZEALAND:
If you haven’t tried out Sky Diving you’ve missed out on some crazy excitement. Rotoura in New Zealand is the perfect place for it. Not for the faint -hearted,it takes immense courage to jump out of a flying plane at a height of some 15, 000 feet.
After a 15 minute flight, at high altitude, you’re thrown out of the aircraft and after a thrilling free-fall you experience a parachute ride to finally float safely down to the drop zone. Harnessed to an experienced and qualified jump master you plummet towards the ground at 200 kmp and this is when you experience terminal velocity, an unforgettable experience like never before.
Floating in the skies you go over some of the most spectacular scenery in New Zealand. If being thrown out of a flying plane is not enough to get your adrenaline pumping, the free-fall and the parachute ride will do the rest. As you drop down, grinning from ear to ear, you realise you’ve come out of it braver and with a sense of having achieved something that most people would not dream of doing.
SCALING MOUNT KILIMANJARO, TANZANIA:
Mount Kilimanjaro, standing in isolation, at a height of 19, 341 feet above sea level, is the tallest free standing mountain in the world. Africa’s highest peak, it is a major destination for mountaineers and trekkers.
Trekking up the worlds tallest walkable mountain is ,perhaps, not as daunting as the fact that you cross 5 different climatic zones to reach the summit. Though most experienced mountaineers claim its not as tough as climbing the Everest, nevertheless the climb has to be done with care and a few essential things have to be paid heed to if you wish to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The secret lies in going slow and allow time to acclimatise yourself . Altitude sickness is a cause for concern and a reasonably fit person will find it easy to climb provided he doesn’t rush forward over enthusiastically, has periods of acclimatisation and drinks plenty water .
Needless to say the view from the summit is breathtaking. So put on your hiking boots and take the challenge if you wish to add that little extra spice to your life.
WAKING THE THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA:

The wall can be visited from different places along its length. It is easy to access in some places but it is the difficult areas that gets your heart racing. Though some sections are well maintained, the ones in ruins are the tough ones. But don’t let that drive you up the wall, just go on walking along those rambling paths, like others before you have done, and take the challenge and all that it has to offer. For those who wish for some more fun there are zip lines and gondola rides.
THE GORGE SWING, ZAMBIA:
A notch or two above bungee jumping, the Gorge Swing is one of the most adrenaline inducing activities that leaves you breathless yet exhilarated. All this over the mighty Zambezi river. Its here that 135 meters of cable, with a sliding pulley hanging from it,spans a 75 meter gorge.
Your full harness is attached to a rope and the rope to a cable ,which runs across the width of the gorge, and you’re literally ready to take the plunge. Jump off the edge of a cliff and free fall to a heart in the mouth 70 meter drop towards the rocks and the roaring Zambezi river crashing forcefully below. As the rope tightens you swing and after several swings, at the bottom of the gorge, you start to arch before you finally swing away from the rocks and the river. Recommend for all jump enthusiasts, if that doesn’t have you gasping for breath nothing will.
